Bali Hai wire project to finish Oct. 30

PATTAYA:--The submersion of electrical and utility wires at Bali Hai Pier is scheduled to complete this month.

While behind schedule – the project was supposed to wrap by Oct. 10 – the effort to bury wires will finish by the end of October, an Oct. 12 city hall meeting was told.

The decision to bury 590 meters of power lines at the South Pattaya jetty came after roads were already dug up for renovation and resurfacing in preparation for November’s international fleet show.

The underground pipes have been laid and the wiring is now being moved.

Nothing like a well-executed plan in action.

I will have a look November 1 and report back.

Yeah, it's not easy to dig in all the poles

Given that they probably haven't made allowance for future expansion, does that mean the phone company will just stick some poles in on the side of the road and run their wires on them?

As this effort was only because of the boat show, I guess that is what is going to happen in future, as the show will be over and the authorities don't, IMO, give a monkey's.
