A police officer of Khao Khor district in Petchabun province has been showered with praises by netizens after images posted on the social media showing him rescuing a boy trapped in the rushing water of a klong.

The traffic police officer, Pol Lt Prasert Somroop, deputy chief inquiry officer of Khao Khor police, told the media that it was about 5.30 pm on Saturday when a villager rushed to alert him of a boy being washed into the klong from flash flood caused by heavy rain.

He said he grabbed a rope and ran toward the scene where the 12-year old, identified as Phuchit Prompakdee, was washed into the klong. But the boy was trapped in a tree in the middle of the klong.

Good work!

Well done  mate.

Quick thinking too. Grabbed a rope before attempting a rescue. Good to hear some positive news about the RTP.
