Chinese bike-sharing giant Ofo Inc says its bike sharing service in Thailand was well received in the market although there need to have improvement by the state on its public utilities to promote bike using in city travelling.

 

This was disclosed by the Thai manager for the Chinese giant bike-sharing operator in Thailand after just three months in service after the official launch in Bangkok in August this year.

 

After China’s Info Inc, two other foreign investors, Mobike from China and oBike from Singapore are keen to enter the Thai market soon.

The Chinese are masters in the art of shared bicycle rentals.  They track them now using long range beacons.  The beacons can lock and unlock the bikes in China, but not in Thailand.  Such advanced wireless technology is not legal.
