Crime Suppression Division (CSD) police officers on Monday arrested three more suspects in relation to former beauty contestant Krisana Suwanpitak’s alleged fatal assault of a 16-year-old maid in 2012 in Bangkok and the burying of her body in Phetchaburi’s Muang district to conceal the crime.

The three suspects, implicated by evidence and witnesses as aiding Krisana’s alleged wrongdoing, were transported to the CSD head office in Bangkok for interrogation.

Police arrested Krisana’s brother Pramote Suwanpitak, 43, at a house in Tambon Nong Sano of Muang Phetchaburi at noon. They also apprehended Krisana’s niece, whose name was withheld as she was 16 at the time, at an apartment in Muang Phetchaburi, while another team arrested the third suspect, Prathana Tuamsap, 35, in Phuket province.

CSD acting chief Pol Colonel Maitri Chimcherd said the three suspects were arrested in line with court-issued arrest warrants and had confessed to helping Krisana to avoid punishment by burying the body of the maid, Jariya Srisak, in Phetchaburi.

Maitree said Krisana, 45, who was arrested earlier this month and charged with aggravated assault leading to another person’s death in Bangkok, had also confessed to the crime.

He added that the arrest of the three additional suspects meant everyone involved in the case was in custody and people’s doubts should be laid to rest.

Maitree declined to comment whether Krisana might be released on bail, but said police would ask for bail to be rescinded if she tried to tamper with evidence or witnesses.

Jariya’s mother, Janthira Srisak, had filed a complaint with the Pavena Hongsakul Foundation for Women and Children stating that her daughter had been missing for five years.

Police investigating the case subsequently discovered a human skeleton earlier this month in Nong Sano, which is believed to belong to Jariya, who reportedly was killed in 2012.

Police are still waiting for DNA test results to confirm the identity of the remains.

What was the motive for the killing?

BIB-the poster child for the utterly inept.

Don't be so fast in requesting the people to stop doubting, I think they should continue to doubt every step of the judicial process until they all are convicted, sentenced and in jail, and even then: doubt is good.

As bad is this sounds, she is fortunate to have gotten as far as she has.  Hope she continues complaining, so that the perpetrators go to jail, and she gets some sort of compensation.  The elite in Bangkok really need a good spanking.

Bail Omg surely not  Not on the serious nature of the crime  Maybe a few envelopes will change their way on thinking and she can skip bail Hope i dont read that the main offender gets bail but have this feeling they will Nothing surprises me here any more :WPFflags:

Think about if the person has confessed How the bloody hell could you get bail? Thought you could only get Bail if u plead not guilty and are awaiting to go on trial  Be like Jack the Ripper confessing to murdering 5 women and next day he is out on bail:clap2:

She retracted her confession.

That seems to happen a lot here too.

Yes, I often wonder if they do actually confess, in a written confession, or if it's just the BiB's interpretation of the way the conversation went!

But once their lawyer arrives, there seems to be a lot of retractions.

Alleged murder?  Very difficult to find suspects if it's not been established whether the poor maid was murdered or not.

Remember the Bombing in Bangkok  I think the police said the bombers confessed Every body patted the police on the back for arresting them so quick Then wait for it Something the police forgot to mention The Huge reward for catching them Was millions of Baht so in the best interest to get quick confession Makes you wonder right?

Indeed. I think there is a certain "uniqueness" about the police here. In many respects!
