Featured Replies

In a letter sent to the National Treasury on Friday, the Interior Ministry’s Administration General Department stated that the CNRP was dissolved by the Supreme Court, and therefore their list of commune councilors is invalid.  The ministry told the treasury to freeze the salaries of CNRP commune councilors as of November 10.

Justice Ministry spokesman Kim Sentepheap said that the court’s verdict has already been put into effect.  All lawmakers and commune councilors have been stripped of their positions and party memberships, and are not allowed to engage in political activities.  There are 5,007 CNRP commune councilors and nearly 500 CNRP commune chiefs.
