Two pre-cadet school military officers transferred pending probe into student’s death

The Supreme Command has ordered the transfer of two military officers of the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School and ordered a new probe into the death of Pakapong Tunyakan, a first-year cadet of the school.

Supreme Commander Gen Thanchaiyan Srisuwan has signed an order removing Col Chatchai Duangrat, commander of the armed forces cadet regiment, and Cdr Noppasit Pienchob, commander of the armed forces cadet battalion 2, out of the school.

Col Chatchai was transferred to the Royal Thai Armed Forces, while Cdr Noppasit was transferred to the Royal Thai Marine Corps.

Funny as they said he died of natural causes ! natural for Thailand I suspect

Good. With any luck their military career is now over. If only getting rid of Prayuth and Prawit was so easy, the damage they do is immeasurably greater.

So even brutalist pre-cadet school military officers can be transferred to inactive posts. Inactive posts in the military probably means shoe polishing duties and general ass licking of the generals. Then all is forgiven.

Transferred !?  How awful. That really does seem terribly harsh.

Surely a 500 baht fine is the established norm for this sort of thing.

It does seem that the entitled do protect and forgive themselves when something hanious happens.   They are not setting a good example for the rest of Thailand.

Re. the ongoing - the second - probe into Pakapong's death,  . . . "the first probe by the school insisted that Pakapong,18, died of sudden heart failure on Oct 17." In order to put Prawit, totally in the picture, maybe, for the second probe, he should lie on the ground and see how many minutes these two bully-boy Commanders can kick him in the nuts and stomach for, before he dies of heart-failure. Yes . . . great idea . . . clean up the army cadet corps and fix the sewage-leak in one fell swoop.

2 more inactive posts filled.

On full pay with full entitlements. Just their places at the trough temporarily suspended.
