"Well known abbot" in Petchabun arrested on warrant for molesting a child

Police moved on a temple in Petchabun province early yesterday morning to serve a warrant issued by the criminal court against a well known abbot, reported Sanook.

 

The charge is for molesting a child under the age of 15.

 

The alleged offence or offences took place between early April 2015 and early April 2016.

 

Police also found ammunition at the temple in Lat Khae sub-district of Chon Daen district.

 

The abbot, who was not named by Sanook, is now in custody and helping police with their inquiries.
