Free Wi-Fi offers web surfing on Pattaya Beach

PATTAYA:--Surfing has taken on a whole new meaning on Pattaya Beach after the city launched free wireless internet access from Bali Hai Pier to the Dusit curve.

Pattaya spent 24 million baht to have CAT Telecom PLC install the @Pattaya City Free Wi-Fi service with 24 hotspots allowing users to surf the web on the beach.

City spokesman Pinit Maneerat said the project shows city hall’s commitment to upgrading technology as part of the Eastern Economic Corridor plan.

Users have to register with their personal details to get two hours of free, 2-Mbps access per day, which is good for one year.

I bet that will be very useful for tourists

That will please the 'ladies/others' of the night patrolling the coconut bar scene... :))

And lo and behold ..... the link to register doesn't open. I will try again later.

They forgot to add that every page you visit online will be stored in Prayut's big database. So if you post anything "illegal " or visit any porn sites you could get in trouble.

Same here "problem loading page"...........:cheesy:

Same applies to any site you use here in Thailand, The UK or USA China Saudi  etc etc.

It is the same for the local SIM cards.
You are supposed to be registered so every thing you say is digitized and stored for your pending court case....
