Villagers in Phichit have clubbed together to raise a bounty for the capture of the French man and Thai woman on the run in Thailand for the murder of 61 year old Giuseppe de Stefani.

Bang Na Rong folk have scraped together 30,000 baht for information leading to the arrest of the couple nearly a week after they fled the area where the Italian was murdered, mutilated and set fire to.

People with information are urged to call 191.

Meanwhile police chief Chaisathian Maneejak told Daily News that after having weird dreams about the couple for two days in a row, as soon as the arrest warrants were issued the dreams stopped.

He believed he was being implored by the spirit of the deceased to step up pressure on his colleagues to find those responsible.

Yesterday DNA testing confirmed the remains found were those of Rutjira's ex husband, murdered last Friday.

I wouldn't need 30 Grand to give these two evil lowlifes up.

Would a chocolate bar be sufficient for this?

This one's for soi dog the bounty hunter.

Wow, Thai people that actually care about a foreigner.. rare occurrence

indeed....

I would pay 10K to find them. Just for getting the sweet experience out of seeing them get punished.

Surely the tourism minister would also donate,

you would think.

Only if he could claim it on expenses.

"Honey I had a dream last night that I should do my job."

"Oh honey, that is so weird."

"I thought so too."

His reasoning for this was the best, and insightful to how things are done.

I would not say that, but their generosity and thoughtfulness is truly touching.

So is it the dreams that did it or the dream of grabbing the villagers reward that gets them motivated.

Will they have to apologize for hurting cultural image? If so, does the judge even factor that into sentencing? I hope not b/c no bearing on deterrence...why do they have this practice?

They would be in Burma by now Any chance of getting them back from there?

Impressive

All credit to the police chief - he's been sleeping 20 hours a day on this case trying to collar the suspects.

I had a dream 20 virgins raped me Then i woke up:cheesy: Geez now they are dreaming about catching these people

foreigners should be careful when all of a sudden they become handsome upon their arrival in Thailand. When most of the women didn't want them in their countries. Never date a woman with the age difference of 10 years at maximum. Pai ahp nhaam. Sawadee took kon!
