If you are going to Mae Sot for your Visa run, then this is the place to stay: 

The food here is the best I have had in Thailand...

It's just not a restaurant, it is also a school for young Men & Women to learn how to cook and run a restaurant.

Saturday I did my visa run and some shopping at the river market, and dinner at night at The Passport. And on Sunday have brunch before going back home again at the Passport.

What we did last time, we rented a van and took a group of farang to Mae Sot and stay at the hotel...one week later everyone wanted to go back to The Passport just to eat!
