Good people who do good will never lose,’ reads one of the signs held by a supporter of Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan on Thursday morning in front of the Defense Ministry and Grand Palace in Bangkok.

BANGKOK — Police said Friday they’re in the process of filing charge against a small group who rallied in support of deputy junta chairman Prawit Wongsuwan yesterday.

The officer in charge of the case said his team is working to find out the names of about 40 people who rallied in front of the Defense Ministry, where Gen. Prawit works. The move comes on the same day about 40 pro-democracy activists reported to police for a Saturday protest the authorities say violated the public assembly law because it was too close to a palace.

I'm sure these 'genuine' supporters of the deputy PM will quite happily take the charges. They did it for their fearless number 2 and they have no regrets. And anyone who thinks the law isn't applied equally will now have to admit it's always applied equally under the junta's rule because of this one big staged gathering.

From the article,

“We are collecting information and footage from the media,” Phrarachawang Police Station head Thanakrit Chaicharuwuth said. “We have already received a complaint they violated the Public Assembly Act.”

Police have yet to charge or summon anyone. Thanakrit said police don’t know the names of any in the crowd even though a former politician from Sa Kaeo province identified himself to reporters as the rally’s leader.

“We are still checking,” the police colonel said when asked about Chotorn. “Maybe the name and the person don’t match.”

Silly Khun Chotorn making the police inaction more difficult.

Don't look hi so do they, more like rent a mob so no problems giving them a small fine

Considering who they were supporting, I would think a charge of illegal gathering would be the least of their worries.

At the very least they should be prevented from breeding

I'm guessing that they found out that this was a 'sarcasm' rally

They wanted watches.

Rolex may be interested in the photos for their future ad campaign.

Not a collectible watch in the group.

while the counter demo sign reads 'Bad people who do bad will lose their watches'

They will get off quietly when the court finds that they did not have "bad intentions."

Poor lot, the 500 baht fine will wipe their hire fees.

This is one <deleted> up country!!!!

No one should be charged whether “love” or “hate” Prawit. Bring back freedom of expression. Basically being back freedom. It’s much overdue.

I think they are all wearing watches. maybe they borrowed them from Prawit?
