90 Day Fiancé star David Toborowsky’s son shot in face in accident in U.S.

David Toborowsky’s 18-year-old son, Jacob, who appeared in two episodes of the American reality TV show 90 Day Fiancé alongside his dad and new Thai stepmom, Chanoknat “Annie” Suwan, was shot in the face in an accident involving his friend and a handgun this week.

Toborowsky spoke to Coconuts and said that his son miraculously survived the accident — which happened on Monday — but still had the .22 caliber bullet lodged between his jawbone and cheek. He was allegedly shot accidentally by a 17-year-old male friend who was fooling around with a family handgun that he allegedly thought was not loaded.

The 17-year-old’s name has not been made public since he is a minor. Toborowsky told us that his son has been friends with the shooter for years and that he believed he was a good kid.

Ah huh...

17-year-old male friend who was fooling around with a family handgun...

The good old family handgun

I will never understand American gun laws

Was the kid who shot him Burmese by any chance?

I have had arms in the house always.

Children running around, never had any problem, simply because I had strict safety rules and a "do not touch" law.

Always installed the adagio to

believe any firearms to be loaded and ready to shoot, even if it was empty, open, and visibly safe.

The parents, obviously, are to blame.

My “Ah, huh”, was expressing my serious doubts about this man’s “judgement call”.

Nothing I have read about his actions, over the last year or so, leads me to have any trust in his opinions.

As to gun ownership...well, that’s another issue.

Suffice to say, you wouldn’t like my views.

I'm more fascinated in 'her' receding hair line, and the painted on eyebrows  :omfg:

NRA - well done!

I think Jacob and Annie would make a great couple. Now, what about Dad?

Americans love their guns. These things don’t happen (odd exception) in Canada due to strong gun laws.

som nam na

The USA can do without several of these 'good kids' .  Not a big enough deal to take away everybody's right to a gun. One dumb kid shot by another dumb kid, so what! Want to know how many fires killed people that were started by tobacco yet those cigarettes are still sold. Lets talk about placing governors on car engines too.

Next time fool around with a shotgun. Obituaries are more interesting.

OMG... this is the very reason accidents happen... for you to expect kids to follow the rules is really naive. You've been lucky.  Everyone I know with guns in a house with kids either keeps them locked in a safe or with trigger locks... and I am originally from Arizona with the most liberal gun laws in the US but gun owners are  generally very responsible esp with kids around... and then there are the yahoos...

Evidently, you missed the part about his having "installed the adagio".

I'm guessing that makes all the difference in the world!

It would not surprice me they were foolish enough to play the new internet hype "no lacking challenge". Pointing guns at eachother for making pics and movies about it.

Just a few days ago i did read about another 17y old boy in Memphis been shot by his 21y old friend. He was struggling for his live. Not sure he did survive.

So for everybody who is thinking "i did teach my children how to handle a gun", "never to touch a gun" and all the rest, just think about all the , more or less, stupid and silly things we all did when we were young.
