No (sane) person wants a revolution. The point is that the junta seems to be doing everything they can to provoke one, and if one does kick off they will be unable to control it.

That is right.The lid on the pressure cooker can only be screwed down for so long.What is unfortunate in such a situation is that when a response comes it is likely to be rather indiscriminate in its reaction.

 

A "rich" foreigner sitting in a mansion claiming "It has nothing to do with me" is as good a target as any under those circumstances.

 

Moreover,as there has been a heck of a lot of nationalistic xenophobia generated over the past few years it would seem that they would likely be targets for BOTH sides.
