Video: Fire at kennels in Chonburi kills many dogs, others injured

A video on the Pattaya News site showed the aftermath of a fire at a dog kennels in the Don Hua Lor area of Chonburi yesterday.

 

More than 10 dogs were killed and many more were injured in the fire.

 

The blaze happened at an old uninhabited wooden house used by a man called Chatchai Wasanasathian, 44, to house Thai and foreign breed dogs.

 

His younger sister Duangporn, 32, told reporters on the scene that lights were kept on day and night at the kennels and that one seemed to have short-circuited causing the fire. She did not know how many dogs in total were kept there.

 

Don Hua Lor police were waiting to interview the owner who was not on the scene yesterday.

 

Two fire engines brought the blaze under control within 30 minutes.
