Laotian drug dealer arrested at airport as gang of four caught with "ice"

A female Laotian drug dealer was apprehended at Don Muang airport yesterday after a police sting nabbed her and three associates with 10 kilograms of ice or crystal meth.

 

Tourist police and 191 special branch led by crime-buster Surachet Hakpal had arranged a sting to capture the gang.

 

They arranged with two gang members to buy the drugs for 6 million baht at a location in Rangsit north of Bangkok.

 

After the arrest the cops expanded the inquiry to Don Muang airport where Sitthiporn Somjeen or "Jeen" a Laotian nation was taken into custody along with a Thai male accomplice Preecha Phumsuwan, 27.

 

Others arrested were Thai men Pattana Thanisin, 24 and Waree Saiwan, 35.
