The Minburi Provincial Court has issued warrants for the arrest of six former red-shirt activists, including Wutthipong Kotchathammakhun, alias “Ko Tee”, for the bomb attack at the home of a leader of the yellow-shirt People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) in January 2014.

Royal Thai Police deputy commissioner Pol Gen Srivara Ransibrahmanakul said on Friday (Feb 16) that the court has issued arrest warrants for the six suspects after bomb suspect Krischaphon Poolsilpa allegedly confessed that he was among five other hardcore redshirt members who attacked the home of Samran Rodphet, a leading member of the PDRC on Jan 28, 2014 at 3 am.

The six suspects were Mr Wutthipong, Mr Krischaphon, Thirachai Uttaravichien, 55, Udomchai Nopsawat, 61,Nikom Chaitontuek, 33, and Thirapat or Tawatchai Bookmark, 50.

Right on cue!

Losing credibility? People don't take you seriously any more? Getting bad press?

Go arrest a 'red shirt' for a bomb...

Taking the enemy soldiers out of the equation, as things are hotting up...

Some peaceful protests can be handled but if it gets serious, the Junta might look silly in their attempt to stomp out the resistance !!

Timing sounds just perfect, doesn't it?

Tables are turning...

They've been sitting on this one for a while, the time is right to arrest.

Tell me how the find was a setup.. do remember this was brought on by not paying rent that is not something the police controls. But ok I know you like to see your angel redshirts as innocent of all the damage they did.

Maybe, just maybe, they were in that plot.

Maybe, just maybe, the Shins hovering around spent some money on "democratic protests", and maybe, just maybe somebody ratted about the alleged terrorism used by the reds

If you remember well, the country was in the grip of a worsening division between groups, resulting in a lot of violence, threats to break up the country, threats to build an army to conquer or fight who?

All "democratic" actions of the red shirts.

Maybe you also remember, both shin governments also had a very bad press after some time.

And maybe you also remember the last, or maybe latest takeover was indeed accepted by many as being necessary.

Please don't forget to understand western style "democracy", is not really suitable for many countries.

What is left of "democracy" in most western countries is not worth to bear the name, nor suitable exporting it to other countries.

Can you name one country in SE Asia that really is democratic?

Indonesia, Phillipines, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia maybe?

All having a rather warped kind of democracy.

How convenient with the recent increase in anti-government sentiment ... I'm sure the evidence is very strong considering they want to arrest them for something from almost 4 years ago.

I'm sure they will get away with lack of evidence just like the popcorn gunman :wai:
