lomatopo Posted January 24, 2007 Share Posted January 24, 2007 I thought that it was really good. Many Thai period/costume pieces are poorly written, and the acting can be downright painful. However this film, the first in a series of three telling the life story of King Naresuan, has great writing, excellent character development and the three child actors are incredible. The actor playing the role of the principal Monk, (can you say Yoda/Obi Wan Kenobi), is good too. Tagline: Star Wars meets The Godfather in old Siam. It doesn't make sense because the movie played in Thai with English sub-titles. Even online you won't find English subs. I saw both and they were really great.
