Centenarian Groom and Bride, 96, marry in Ayutthaya

A couple with a combined age of 196 tied the knot in Bang Sai, Ayutthaya yesterday.

Proving that love has no age limit Sanga Seedorkbuab, 100, asked for the hand of Win Seedorkbuab, 96.

A doctor said it might have been the oldest combined age of a marrying couple ever in Thailand.

A video showed the happy, if slightly bemused, couple doing all the traditional things at a Thai wedding.

A sprightly looking Sanga passed through the marriage gates where money is handed over. The couples' hands were blessed with lustral water by friends and relatives. Their heads were joined in the mongkhon crown made up of "sai sin" or holy string.

Thai Rath noted that the couple had the same surname surmising that they may have been married before or just decided to make it official.

They married at a heath center called Wellness City that looks after the elderly.

Dr Bunchai said it may have been the oldest combined age of a married couple in Thailand ever.

Some 30,000 netizens shared the happy event after it was posted by Rojana Phinsuwan on Facebook.

What a lovely story, the very best of luck to the happy couple.

As the saying goes,, there is life in the old dog yet.

I hope they have caught their breath this morning after last nights bedroom activity. :giggle:

I hope she hadn't been saving herself !

Or it's his sister!

Good for them. Enjoy Life cos it is too short.

I wonder if the groom asked her parents for their blessing?
