I assume

i) your son does not hold Thai nationality.

ii) he is only applying for work at an embassy, not actually working yet.

iii) he has been in education in Thailand holding an ED visa.

Whilst applying for work, a work permit is not required and a tourist visa would suffice.

Is he thinking of working at his own country's embassy, or does he think any embassy might employ him? What sort of job is he qualified for?

Not all embassy staff are "diplomatic" status and exempt from work permit requirements. Very many staff, at a British Embassy at least, are "locally employed" and are normally required to be exempt from work permit because they are nationals of the host country or have otherwise acquired the right to work. It would depend very much on the skill an applicant is offering.

If he is offered a job at the Embassy of his Citizenship, then he will probably have to apply for a Non Immigrant F visa, no work permit is required for F visa holders.

he has not the Thai Nationality

Yes he study the university  inThailand ( ED Visa)

He is offered a Job on embassy because of all his languages

A tourist Visa ? means he has to leave country every time?

live here now more 10 Years.

Non Immigrant F visa looks me not possible, is not his own citizenship embassy

If he has been offered a job, then the Embassy should be able to advise him on what has to be done.

He will most likely need a non immigrant B visa and work permit if it is not the Embassy of his country of citizenship, but the embassy should provide this advice.
