Prawit distances himself from Palang Pracha Rath party

Deputy Prime Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan has denied knowing about a new political party to be founded to support Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha as the next premier after the general election.
 

There were reports over the weekend that the Palang Pracha Rath (Power of Public State) Party, who sought permission from the Election Commission (EC) to be established earlier this month, would invite Prayut to become its party’s chief adviser, paving the way for him to be a candidate for prime minister after the election.

 

“Who is saying that? I do not know,” Prawit told Government House reporters on Monday.

 

Many people doubt that the new party would support Prayut for PM because its proposed name, Palang Pracha Rath, is also the name of the government’s initiative Pracha Rath, the public-private project aimed at boosting the economy and income of local communities throughout the Kingdom.

 

The party name was submitted to the EC by Chuan Choochan, a leader of the Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market community.

Don't even bother to listen to anything that comes out of this utterly ugly guy's mouth: it's nothing but constant lies and deception - so don't waste precious time weighing it in the balance. Prawit's credibility amounts to zilch with the average Thai.  The watch issue as been effectively swept under the carpet legally but few will forgive him for his trespass.

Lies yes, deception, no. To have deception, you actually have to be able to deceive people, and no one is deceived. As for your comment on pigs, I don't think that's fair to pigs, I've heard they're quite intelligent creatures. Intelligence is not a strong point for Prawit, or Prayut for that matter.

He doesn't know because he doesn't care. Its all about the watches. If no one offers a prize watch then he stops paying attention. The Toad is in the game for one reason....acquisition of wealth with the least amount of effort. Of course there is the fact that he is making the PM crazy with his antics so he's not having information shared any longer but in this case he would only have had to have a brief exposure to the media to know more than he claims.
