Thailand’s smiles have drooped slightly, according to the latest edition of a UN happiness index published Wednesday.

The kingdom slipped 14 spots to rank No. 46 among 156 countries surveyed for the “World Happiness Report,” which the UN describes as “a landmark survey of the state of Global Happiness.”

Time for our dear leader to write a new song as a boost? :giggle:

Unhappy? Well, I wonder why that should be . . . anything to do with that UNHAPPY - looking halfwit at the top of the heap?

I already anticipate one or another government agency or bigwig junta member to announce tomorrow that the UN report is based on "outdated information" and/or "obsolete data" and that Thailand is in fact way up top in terms of overall happiness and content and that indeed people across the kingdom are dancing in the streets out of pure joy and fulfillment.

agreed , attempting to broadbrush a country of 67 Mill , without living here, as if they were a single person, is ludicrous; the base inequalities are widening

Participants in the survey to give it a boost:

Prawit, Prayut, Worayuth Yoowithaya or Boss, Phra Dhammachayo, and Premchai the elitists of happyness.

No wonder! None like to have a soldiers government!

Thai people not happy. How about election?

if that's your ''poster child','i can see it......but you had a good run..

Let's face it, when the PM can waffle in for 30 minutes without a smile it hardly encourages the nation to be happy

I don’t think “dear leader” will be expressing his contentment

about this announcement the way he did about the other one.

Only the good ones get commented on.

Funny, isn't it - the more "developed" and regulated a society becomes, the less people seem to enjoy it. A moral there somewhere for the generals and their tendency to treat the people like a bunch of squaddies in basic training.

Should invite Putin over for a free muck about. He spreads happiness and anthrax where'er he goes!! (Can help them with other stuff like rigging a good election and rolling out the barrel bombs too!).
