thaibeachlovers
Anyone been successfully treated for rheumatoid arthritis in Chiang Mai? I mean, have they been given actual pain relief for the condition, and not just Panadol or Nurofen.
Sheryl
Are you sure you mean rheumatoid arthritis and not osteoarthritis? They are entirely different conditions , and no one treats RA with "Panadol or Nurofen". It is an important distinction as tretament requires different specialists - rheumatologist for RA as opposed to orthopedic specialist for OA. thaibeachlovers
I absolutely mean rheumatoid arthritis. I mentioned Panadol or nurofen as I have heard that Thai Drs do not like to give effective pain relief if it involves narcotics. I don't want to go to see a Dr if I'm just going to be sent away with Panadol.

Sheryl
Treatment of RA focuses on controlling/halting the disease process, not masking it with pain killers. They will treat the RA through disease-modifying drugs. I suggest one of these doctors at Sripat (AKA Suan Doc). 110/392 Intawaroros Road. Assoc. Prof. Suparaporn Wangkaew Prof. Worawit Louthrenoo Assoc. Prof. Nuntana Kasitanon
