Johnniey
I'm on holiday but just realized I need to pay my mortgage in Thailand. I usually transfer from one Krung Thai account to another. However, they send a verification number to my Thai phone, which doesn't work in New Zealand or Australia. I can't figure out how to transfer the money. Does anyone know how to change from getting that TOP number sent to an email rather than a mobile number? I see nothing in the settings. I do now have an Oz number for a couple of weeks. topt
I don't know about Krung Thai but I am surprised you have to receive an OTP every time you make a transfer? With SCB and Bangkok Bank it is only the first 1 or 2 transactions to a specific set up account - yet you suggest you have been doing this for a while? Did you enable international roaming on your Thai sim? If not ring the sim provider and see if that is the issue for not receiving any SMS. If not that suggest you ring your banks help line because normally you cannot change phone no. or email without going to the branch......... jackdd
Contact your sim card provider to enable using it in another country, then you are able to receive the SMS Just make sure to have data turned off when putting in the sim card or it might be expensive
blackcab
Enable international roaming on your phone. You need to call the phone company to do this.
