In Thailand, for example, French nationals benefit from supplementary health insurance that provides reimbursement levels equivalent to those of the local population. And the French government will partially yield to the fishermen's demands to avert a riot. This system may not be the most financially efficient, but ordinary citizens like me benefit from it. And it will continue as long as we have the courage to stand up against the widespread impoverishment imposed by successive governments.
