Hair Clippers - Decent quality and not expensive

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any recommendations for shops and/or brands for decent quality Hair Clippers that aren not expensive around the Sukhumvit area? Something that can be used for shaving the head and beard too. Thanks

Surely the words “decent quality” and “inexpensive” don’t equate

i just buy whatever i see, 5-800 baht, they are all fine for several years

PROVIDED you oil them at least once every 2 weeks,

it makes all the difference in the world or it goes dull.

once the small bottle of oil runs out, buy sewing machine oil,

or if you cant find that, a good ole bottle of bike lubricant spray does the trick.

they all come with 4 extensions/distances if you want to keep a few mm

Not tried them, but cheapest I've seen is in Big C for 279 baht

Oil is the key

Never let them run dry

I've used everything from wd40 to engine oil to extra virgin olive oil for an emergency Shave :)

The better ones claim to be "self sharpening" but I don't know if this is marketing b/s

I use the supplied oil every 3rd use and does OK (#1 beard trim without attachment every week)...I've got a Panasonic that I bought in saudi about 5 years ago and the battery's getting weak...where abouts near sukhumvit does one find a beard trimmer? shopping mall? supermarket? would love to find the same Panasonic ER2031...

at the hair dresser's: 'say there, Mr tutsi...yer lookin' like Methuselah these days...'

i've bought all sorts of brand names, Remington / Braun etc....

gave up and recently bought off Lazada, about 500 baht, best set i've had by far...
