April 21, 20188 yr Popular Post Seat belts worn would probably have saved 2 lives? The last time I traveled on a long bus trip I was the only one wearing a seatbelt. It is easy to get the feeling: "Gee I am the only one wearing a seatbelt and all the Thai's think I am a silly ole farang"
April 21, 20188 yr Strange, sometimes the brakes don't working, sometimes some other peoples drive dangerous, the bus drivers do always everything right....

In the rain at night the white line road markings “disappear” making it difficult for buses, often with many stickers on windscreen to obscure better vision, to stay on the road when driver “lapses” occur. The “cats eyes” are also of great help to see (and hear when hitting) with road safety.Whilst not accepting lack of driver skills sometimes accidents could be reduced with road construction. It seems apparent that the road carnage is acceptable to the bulk of the population. They grew up losing siblings, cousins, parents, and friends to road death, usually motorcycle. It is just part of life to them. Whatever country we are raised in, the social and religious mores prevalent at the time shape our thinking for life. Sad but demonstrably true. Why would Thailand be any different? True improvements in human society moves at a glacial pace. Technology evolves exponentially ; Humans? Not so much.

I was wondering that too. Does it show the location of the accident.? The tambon etc address means nothing to me and I am sure it did not happen near Wat Kiriwong.
