markah
what is the top speed of the new civic 2.0i ? I have had it up to 206 kph on the bang-na trad elevated toll way. it could do more but my nerve ran out.
Berty
Push if further, I'm sure you can squeeze another 10KPH out of it. I'm sure these family saloons have the chassis dynamics to handle these sort of speeds. Good luck.
RamdomChances
You need to try it in 4th to get the best out of it, they won't pull max rev's in 5th.......alledgedly
Moonfruit
My friend got 210 (indicated) out of his on the Chaeng Wattana stretch. Be careful on the elevated tollway at Bang-na-Trad. I got a ticket for speeding there two weeks ago for doing 160.
sibeymai
Berty, do you mean that auto manufacturers produce cars which can go faster than they are capable of safely ? Surely, as good corporatre citizens, they wouldn't do that. Wow, don't tell US lawyers....they'll have a field day. The manufacturers would have a plausible defence that the major contributing factor to safety at 200kph is the driver, with the chassis dynamics coming somewhat further down the list. I'd rather be doing 200kph in my Honda Jazz (downhill with a tailwind) than 100kph in some of those airport taxis.
Plus
Airport taxis are Camries and Tianas.
The Dan Sai Kid
I rented the new Civic at the weekend - what a great car - I just sold my Vios, as I'm heading home soon and what a difference. Long journeys in the Vios seem like ordeals compared with that car!
Plus
It should be expected - extra 30 hp, even in the 1.8l engine.
sibeymai
Actaully Plus, The Camrys and Tianas are "Airport Limousines". I'm referring to the junk being driven around and passed off as roadworthy....usually green/yellow or red/blue in colour.
