Where can I buy a reasonably priced bike in Bangkok?

Featured Replies

I'm looking to buy a reasonably priced bike in Bangkok, the best option probably a mountain bike. I bought one before in Bangkok about 6 years ago in the specialist bike shop by Lumpini park, I think that cost me around 18-20,000THB. This time I'm just looking a mountain bike to get around on cycling short distances in Rangsit. I looked in Big C and the best one they had was 5,500THB. I'll only be using the bike for probably a year or and won't be cycling long distances on it so I'm willing to pay about 5-10,000THB for one. Does anyone have any advice on where to go to buy one, either new or 2nd hand and how much I'd be looking to pay?

Thanks Maca

Decathlon has branches all over, and have reasonable budget priced bikes.

I looked at their UK web site, and their bikes look like good value.  A friend of mine paid about thb 14,000 equivalent for his road bike at Decathlon in Malaysia.

My recommendation would be to look at the hybrid bikes, and if you can, avoid suspension, if you’re going to be riding on road.
