Image Links to Archived Topics on TV forum

Featured Replies

I was browsing TV forum, on my phone, on Tuesday evening when I reached the link shown in the photograph.  "Sending Nude Pictures". Of course, purely to investigate, I clicked on the link and got to the topic, it was marked  'archived'.   I have noticed just recently that there seem to be several threads being resurrected from the past year or so. Is there a connection between the image links on TV forum and the older threads suddenly becoming 'Live' after many months?

I can't imagine a connection between this type of link to an archived topic and old topics suddenly becoming live again. Even though a link to an archived topic displays this topic on the members' screens they cannot reply to it.

When you see a new post being made in a topic that has seen no new replies for quite a while it is usually because the poster was searching the forum for something and a search word he used led him to that old but not-yet-archived topic.
