I dont know why I bother, since the responses will be the usual tu quque, Trump insanity, flames, excuses and the usual screeches. Bet ya more than 32% of the Trump haters here would applaud his assassination.

Maybe because I like Thailand and hope that when some normal American stumbles upon this forum, they realize that not all westerners in Thailand are a bunch of drooling neo nazi terrorist loving America haters.

I am more amazed that you have no clue how extreme some of your opinions are, how you debate, and how selectively you read media and use polls. No doubt Trump is very unpopular, and some fellow crazy Americans see him as a real threat to their own interests, the safety of your country and its reputation.

The way you picture it, Putin seems to rank higher than your own man.

Note it asks how you would feel if you woke up to a hypothetical headline rather than whether you actively supported such a scenario.

Imagine too that the poll said such action was required to safeguard the constitution, i.e. to protect the law not abandon it, rather than simply being whether you wanted the thing to happen or not. The legal options received hugely more support than military options. See comments.

The survey was apparently based on opt ins to a web or text question rather than going out to people for a more random sample. This could mean you are more likely to get people with strong opinions rather than the average Democrat.

So one could suggest that this writer is doing what Trump does each day - trying to fire up a base rather than providing a genuine attempt at unbiased information.

Polls indicate Trumps attempt at firing up the base is working less and less but there are still the diehard loyalists in the US and apparently in Thailand.

Before living in Thailand my experience of Americans were the one's I met and worked with in The Military predominantly Republicans, Patriots and genuinely decent.

Living in Thailand I'd say 80% of Americans I've met are Republicans (many retired US Military Veterans) and the other 20% of the Democrat kind.

I pride myself on being able to tell an Americans Politics within 10 minutes of meeting them.

Republicans look normal have an air of maturity about them and can hold a conversation the sort of folk you'd be happy to have as a neighbour.

Democrats on the other hand all have the look of someone that's on a Sex Offenders Register some where ,constantly distracted like they've got and attention disorder and usually start a conversation however after 3 to 5 minutes go off on a rant.

You don't seem to meet many that meet in the middle.

In my view, a military intervention in the United States is necessary to preserve democratic principles and uphold the Constitution.

Blind following of a leader is where we run into a threat to democracy. Jan 6, storming of the capitol to keep their leader in place is a clear case of fanaticism. Would you call someone who chanted "hang the VP" because he followed his American duty as opposed to following dictatorial orders a "normal American"?

I'm only an outside observer stating facts Bud nobody died on J6 however over 30 US Citizens were murdered during the 577 Democrat inspired riots during Trump's first term.

You talk about J6 stopping Constitutional Duties taking place but Democrat ICE Karen's are preventing Federal Agents carrying out their Constitutionally mandated duties everyday of the week in present day America.
