Yep but in case you dont understand the perspective of the other side..they now want privacy because these little cameras are speeding up the process of finding the illegals driving without insurance or registration, which means democrats losing votes at a rate they can't make up for in 2028

So yeah redditors are posting online about vandalising these cameras and posting vids online about how to do it. Being the good Samaritan I am I tip off the authorities for anything I see of this sort. Kids these days think the internet provides full anonymity..

So you don't understand how the illegal aliens are voting in sanctuary states ? Explains a lot of the ignorance around voter ID.

Those 1.6M illegal immigrants, are and addition to the illegal immigrants that already have IDs; driver's license issued

Add those up, and ~25% of Dem voters could be illegal immigrants, who would obviously vote Dem.

Crime in my non sanctuary city has dropped 64% this year from last. Republican governor. Police and firefighters have been freed up for actual problems now whereas for the last four years they've been needing to ignore the illegals driv8ng around without license plates and causing accidents and property damage

I believe these flock cameras also caught arsonist causing millions of dollars in damage and economic loss to the city. The whole country would be crime free with these ieverywhere. Only necessary because of policies of the previous administration

Both, as they are surveilling to prevent or solve crimes. Only criminals need to be concerned.

As always in a Constitution Republic, you decide what is allowed. SCOTUS Katz v. United States establishes that a person may retain a constitutional expectation of privacy depending on whether society recognizes it as reasonable, even in areas accessible to the public.

So if concerned, pay attention to your local & state reps (if you even know their name or voting record), and excercise you right to vote. Or move to another state 😂

States decide that, CA for example accepts DL and or State ID, when you register to vote, which they issue to illegal immigrants.

What ID should only be allowed, IMHO, hopefully soon ...

Cameras all over public space are a must and fine...for those having nothing to hide. Also think of putting a fleet of such cameras in your house in Thailand. Very useful to watch the pool cleaning staff, gardners and make sure they are doing the job when you are away !!

Could also be useful in case your wife or gf is cheating!
Excellent insurance and protection in case of a dispute.

They don't need to stick cameras in your house, as the already have tech that can see through walls, with decent resolution, and that's the tech they tell us about. Not that it's needed, as most people are idiots, and can be spied on with their own devices.

Strange folks are concerned about obvious surveillance in the public domain (called a distraction), when govt can spy on most everything, you think is private.

USA FREEDOM Act (2015), replacing Patriot Act (2001), really didn't change much, although, they'll tell you it did. Data collection vs requesting data collection 🙄
