"Happy Fresh" shopping service?

Recommended Posts

I've been getting deluged with banner ads on the internet for "HappyFresh"  grocery shopping service.  I went through the grocery price lists  from both Tesco and Gourmet Market and they seemed no higher than what I already pay shopping myself.  Delivery charges appear to be based on distance from source but seem pretty low.

Has anybody already used this service?  What were your impressions?  Is it worth trying?

They buy food for you as personal shoppers buy clothes for customers ?!

We don't need them, we can order from supermarket websites directly.

I often use two different shopping delivery services- happy fresh and honest bee as even if they don,'t have a special deal for free delivery it is cheaper than if I take skytrain to store and a taxi back. I use them for large shopping orders and for delivery of.heavy things- multipacks of water, canned goods, cleaning supplies etc.

You generally have the option of checking shopper replace, don't replace or call me( doesn't work to well unless you speak Thai). I have learned over time that items Thais don't normally buy will come up with unusual replacements.Example, I wanted Gruyere and Emmenthaler cheese for making fondue- 1 kg total.

They said store was out so they substituted 1 kg of processed Emmenthaler and processed Gruyere cheese slices-didn't even know processed cheese slices were svailable in these flavors. I didn't catch.it when it was delivered,- when I could have refused so I was stuck with. Couldn't get anyone to take it so threw it out. Usually give stuff to security gusrds but.they weren't intetested!

Said granny smith apples weren't available so they substituted a gift basket($$$) of individually wrapped apples.

Overall better than not experiences and meat and chicken comes in bags with small zip bag of.ice to keep it cold.

Also get.bulky items-extra large rolls of paper towels and toilet paper.

They also have delivered within the stated delivery times which is not the same experience when buying from grocery chain with branch in RCA that didn't make it the same day or delivered inferior produce so I gave up using them. I never liked shopping at that branch in person and don't know why they couldn't use store at Silom which is better and closer.

If you want a shopping discount code for first order pm me- we both get the same discount.
