Rimmer
Nongprue ready for rainy season PATTAYA:--Nongprue’s Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department told sub-district residents it is ready for the rainy season. Department chief Banjong Kumbongkha said his unit is prepared to assist in the event of the inevitable flooding that inundates East Pattaya each rainy season. He said the department has dredged a canal on Khao Noi Soi 4 and installed a new pump on Soi Siam Country Club. Banjong said a new automatic pump will kick in when storm runoff flows into Sukeim Village and nearby developments, alleviating the need to dispatch portable pumps. He said the hope is this year that floods will drain more quickly and cause less damage than previous years. -- © Copyright Pattaya Mail 2018-05-
