rooster59 Posted May 26, 2018 Share Posted May 26, 2018 Myanmar man arrested for allegedly stabbing skipper aboard fishing boat By The Nation Marine police arrested a Myanmar worker on Friday for allegedly stabbing and severely injuring the skipper onboard a fishing boat in the Gulf of Thailand offshore Chumphon. Marine police dispatched a patrol boat to intercept the Masaya Nava 15 fishing boat at 3pm on Friday after being alerted to the incident by the Port-in-Port-out Centre in Chumphon. Worker Chamnarn Boonkong, 53, told police that a Myanmar worker had walked into the skipper’s room and stabbed him at about 2.20pm. Chamnarn saw the incident and shouted to other crew to capture the worker. The suspect was identified as Nyi Myint Lwin, 30. The skipper, Sit Hensuk, 59, was stabbed once in his back.
