DepDavid
US citizen residing in Thailand planning trip back to US for a couple months. Google search has become frustrating. Anyone with similar circumstances obtained good travel medical insurance? My Cigna plan only covers two weeks of travel. Spaniel
Aetna, formerly BUPA, offers several travel plans. Google Aetna for details. Edited June 3, 2018 by Spaniel add additional info
DepDavid
Ahhh. Thank you both. I tried BUBA but whichever country I entered on the quote it said insurance not available. I’ll try Aetna and ING. Sheryl
That is IMG and specifically this plan https://www.patriotamericainsurance.net/patriot-america-insurance/ Although the website says it is for non-US citizens it is also for US expats on short term visits to the US, I have verified that directly with the insurer and had this policy myself for several consecutive years. I'm still under Medicare age (63) and haven't extensively researched its ins and outs yet, but if you were 65+ would you still feel a plan like IMG is worth having for USA visits, or does Medicare (with Plans B & D) pretty much cover similar expenses?
