webfact Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Toll fees on Kanchanaphisek ring road to rise from July 1st - higher costs from Chonburi Picture: Manager Online Manager reported that toll fees on the southern section of Kanchanaphisek Road were to rise sharply by between 15 and 35 baht from July 1st. A previously free section is now subject to charge meaning that more money will be collected. For example the journey from Bang Khun Thian (Rama 2) to Bang Plee will rise by 15 baht for four wheel vehicles, 25 baht for 6-10 wheels and 35 baht for larger vehicles. Motorists thus joining the ring road at Bang Kaew on Bang Na - Trat can expect to pay 115 baht for the journey from Chonburi to Rama 2 in the future. Sir Swagman Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 I would hazard a guess that this is to recoup the cost of the new toll booth installations. So.....to collect a toll one must increase the Toll?
