webfact Posted June 6, 2018 Share Posted June 6, 2018 Hmong workers intercepted in Prachuap are victims of human trafficking Picture: Ban Muang Ban Muang reported that police, military, immigration and Prachuap Khiri Khan authorities had intercepted 27 Hmong workers who had been smuggled over the border near the Singkhorn crossing. The workers had paid 700 baht each and were due to have been taken to Chumporn where a middle man was to move them on to Malaysia to work. All were arrested and charged with illegal entry into Thailand along with four Burmese drivers. Four pick-ups were seized. Ban Muang said the case fell into the category of human trafficking.
