Best Restaurant/pubs/bars...

The last time I was in Bkk I went to an outdoor restaurant in Ramintra that was named something(?)-kitchen. The food was great there. but the sign was in Thai. Everytime I go there I have an awesome food experience. Also, some of the bands that play up there are really pretty good. Three years ago I saw this nearly all-female Philippino group that played American covers. They really kicked ass! There were some pretty hot TGs there too.

Since its been a while since I've been there, can anyone suggest a good restaurant/bar in this area? I'm not into the naughty scene, btw!!

I like coffee beans by Dao. It is on Ekkamai soi 12. Doesn't sound as bottom kicking as your place, but the food is very nice. No music though.

There's a million of huge restaurants in that area (nowhere near Ekamai, btw, it's in the North end).

Tawandaeng has Bruce Gaston's Nam Fon everynight, I believe. Not your average Filipino knock offs, really professional band, play Thai traditional music and jazz.

They also had some Chinese circus show with acrobats and everything last time I was there.
