webfact
Commerce Min: US-North Korea meeting boosts world economy BANGKOK, 18th June 2018 (NNT) – The Ministry of Commerce believes the historic summit between leaders of the United States and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will spur global economic growth. Pimchanok Vonkorpon, the Director-General of the Trade Policy and Strategy Office of the Commerce Ministry, said the meeting between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un which was held in Singapore this month sent a positive vibe around the globe as world leaders have come out to welcome and praise the initiative. Pimchanok added that the unprecedented talks with declarations of a new friendship and pledges of nuclear disarmament have eased tensions on the Korean Peninsula, and will result in global economic stability in the long run. In 2017, two-way trade between Thailand and North Korea was valued at less than 2.38 million dollars, accounting for 0.0005% of Thailand’s overseas trade. After his meeting with Chairman Kim, PresidentTrump remarked that Pyongyang no longer posed a nuclear threat. -- nnt 2018-06-
Popular Post neeray
"After his meeting with Chairman Kim, PresidentTrump remarked that Pyongyang no longer posed a nuclear threat." This remains to be seen as the honeymoon between the two BFs could end fairly soon. Or it could not. But given the fickle, unreliable, historical double dealing record of both with their big egos and short fuses, either one could quickly decide to gather up their toys and retreat to home (square one). Both will blame the other for infidelity but Chairman Kim will show that he best understands "the art of the deal". But it would be nice if the Thai Ministry of Commerce was correct. With the trump trade war that is about to kick off, the world economy will need a shot of adrenalin. It may be a bit premature for Thailand to order the increase of rice crops.

Neeray was putting things quite clearly and as objectively as possible, especially considering these two leaders' history, with no vitriol dripping from the screen. 2

wotsdermatter
Commerce Min: US-North Korea meeting boosts world economy The Ministry of Commerce believes the historic summit between leaders of the United States and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will spur global economic growth. Slight problem here, or is it my imagination. The title makes a definite statement that the "meeting boosts world economy." However, the second statement says," that the Ministry of Commerce "believes" the world economy will be spurred. Oh! Sorry, silly me, there is a typo. It should read "SPURN." What a difference between the two statements. Which should we take as the truth. Oh, dear, I forgot this it Thailand if I remember correctly and any comment can be construed to mean the same as another comment, so both are correct.
