Success using Be1st Union Pay Rabbit in OVERSEAS UNION PAY ATM

Featured Replies

Apologies for yet another question on this terrible card, but I have searched high and low and am unable to find the answer.

I was converted to a Be1st Union Pay a few months ago. I am yet to use it overseas and am wondering if anyone has personal experience using it in overseas atms that display Union Pay acceptance (ie - China, Europe, Australia, America). In theory, any ATM should work as it has a magnetic strip in addition to the chip.

Furthermore, has anyone used it successfully with merchants overseas that display Union Pay acceptance at their point of sale terminal (such as hotels in China, department stores in the west that accept Union Pay)?

Thanks in advance

Can only say that I was advised UnionPay card, to be used in China, had to be a different version (which bank could provide if required).  But this was some time ago so things may have changed.

I tried to use it at Moscow airport in a coffee shop with "Accept Union Pay" sign. The waitress told me the card rarely works and asked if I have Visa or MC instead. I obliged.
