BANGKOK, 23rd June 2018 (NNT) – Thirty political parties are to be represented at Monday’s meeting hosted by the government ahead of the forthcoming election.

Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan says the meeting scheduled for June 25th will be attended by representatives of at least 30 political parties who have already accepted the invitation. Although attendance at the meeting is not mandatory, he said it would be ideal to have all parties take part in the discussions.

In the meantime, Election Commission secretary-general Pol Col Jarungwit Phumma said yesterday that conclusions derived from his discussions with Deputy Prime Minister for Legal Affairs Wissanu Krea-ngam regarding problems and obstacles faced by political parties will also be presented at Monday’s meeting.

30 Parties! There could be some interesting coalition negotiations on the sidelines.

That's a lot of snouts vying for the trough!

These parties are likely to be lapdogs of the junta/ militarists - like the Democrat Party (what a misnomer!).

is this a form of AA?

30 party?

Many politician?

My ears hurt!

I see that treacherous man Wissanu is in on the act. If there are any legal obstacles to be put in the way he is just the man to do it.

The big handicap already faced by the other parties is the big head start the Junta Party has given itself with the help of Thai Niyom taxpayers money and an army of civil service support staff for the PM's election roadshow.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Democracy coming soon.

Democracy coming soon.

To quote our beloved leader in a recent interview with Time magazine. A top shelf magazine not a filthy jazz mag like 'Shaven Asian Ravers'
He said on democracy and I quote...

Everything can be better than before, especially when we completely have an international standard democracy and elected government with ethical governance — an honest government with good governance, which fully dedicate to the country. All of these can be further developed by the next government, consecutively government after government with regards to what I have laid the foundation for them. But if everyone went back to do the same like what happened before I took charge of the government, it would all go back to the same old problems. This is what I am worried about. Therefore during these four years I might have to exercise some power such as using some special acts of law in order to remain the stability and security, otherwise it might go back to chaos.

An international standard of democracy. Wow! Then the bit about exercising power if there's a problem with the new government. Such as the threat of civil war? Another coup maybe?

So there's your answer 'rkidland'.
Same, same but different.

Didn’t ask you a question, though.

And you spelt my name wrong.

I think any party that is opposed to the junta that attends knows what is happening regarding problems and obstacles faced by political parties will also be presented at Monday’s meeting.

News flash: 30 parties to attend the meeting with the dictatorship over unlawful elections. Some of the high-quality parties attending are The bar girls party, The corruption party. The lazy Thai party( who have secret agenda that any Thai Man over 30 should not work) The fraud party, and of course the biggest party of them all  The" How to milk farangs party"  which is held in high regard by most gov officials.
