The Appeal Court yesterday sentenced a fortune teller to 14 years in jail for raping an underage girl after performing exorcism rituals on her in Stung Treng town last year.

 

Judge Sin Visal read out the verdict and sent the accused, Lon Sophal, to jail after the trial on July 18.

 

The defendant, the victim and her parents were not present in the courtroom when the verdict was read.

why would you say over the top? rape is rape obviously courts sending out a msg to any low life thinking it's OK to rape girls of any age ? this what you get 14 years + possibility  bit of raping practice on you ! welcome to phnom penh hilton . .not wei  and 500 baht fine that you maybe happy to accept if it was your daughter.judging by 14 years over the top, She was 12 years old
