Gen. Prayut confirms consideration of annual military reshuffle to base on suitability only

BANGKOK, 8th August 2018 (NNT) -- The Prime Minister has assured the public that the considerations of the annual military reshuffle will be strictly based on suitability. 

As the time for the annual government and military reshuffle is approaching, all eyes are particularly kept on changes within the military. 

Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha said on Tuesday that consideration of the military reshuffle will be carefully and fairly undertaken by the Ministry of Defense while the emphasis will be on the qualifications and the suitability of each individual, despite the affilliations they may have. 

Gen. Prayut also stated that the military will continue to have an important role to play in helping the people, especially in times of crisis. 

He went on to say that a growing number of men have enlisted willingly, while the drafting process continues in Thailand as it does in many countries.

the thai public's endurance , and acceptance, of his lies is remarkable

Suitability! Merit! Qualifications! where were these rules when "he who must be obeyed" was coming up through the ranks, If those rules had of been applied to pinocchio then we wouldn't be in the predicament we're in now ie: he wouldn't have made General

Somebody told me that they saw 1 of Prayuts minions in Global house buying a very large wheelbarrow.

Dont you just love that word 'suitability'. It suggests to me someone who will do what they are told, not someone who has a mind of their own. It also begs the question, suitable for who or what?  Its worth remembering that a governor who pulled together all the various nationalities and ideas that rescued a football team from a cave was considered unsuitable for Chiang Rai and pushed out because he didn't conform to some military men's wishes.

You don't get promoted in Thailand by being suitable or qualified.  It depends on who you know; your relatives; or your ability to dole out the dosh in the right quarters.

Why would he have to mention such a factor as affiliations if it wasn't a consideration? It can only be concluded that by suitability he is referring to the size of the envelopes going to those with whom they have the affiliation.

This "reshuffle" means nothing more than payment of the annual bonus to the affiliates.

They are good at protecting participatory government, rule of law, freedom of speech, freedom of expression, arranging beach chairs, catching criminals, bike lanes.  The army is a play thing of the entitled of Thailand.  There is a good reason why volunteers are scarce.  The Thai army of for bullying, nothing more.
