From what I've been told the owners are a Bangkok chinese thai family who own half the block.

I doubt that they are losing sleep.

Maybe the developers know more than us, in my 4/5 years in Pattaya I have seen a big decline in Farang tourists even at the peak periods plus the expat community is dwindling and not being replaced.

theres always some mug [ normally noveau rich via the proceeds of divorce settlement and consequent property sale ] who will pitch up and buy a bar or part share in a gogo bar.
