Savannakhet outbound ticket

Featured Replies

Hi. Later in the week I am considering making a tourist visa trip to Savannakhet.

I have prepared a photocopy of my bank statement but some people are mentioning I also need to show an outbound flight from Thailand.

Is this definitely required?

I intend to get the tourist visa, extend it to 90 days and then when that time is up go to do a tourist visa elsewhere leaving Thailand via minivan.

A second question. If was to buy a ticket to Malaysia (for the next visa run), does it need to be inside the 60 days, or could be within the 90 days?. As if it is required I could possibly book the flight to Malaysia for around 3 months from now. My question is whether or not they allow your outbound flight to take into account the future extended 30days

Thanks

They do want a ticket out of the country. It can be up to 89 days from the date you apply for the visa.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Can this be shown on my phone or must I print the ticket also?

You need to print out the ticket.

I have heard of people who successfully used an itinerary rather than a flight reservation at Savannakhet. However, it would be wise to assume the flight reservation is a firm requirement.

That is normal. I assume you also did not need to show financial proof. The rules for tourist visas are different.

Not the same type of visa. It is only required for a tourist visa.

Applied for tourist visa at Savanakhet five months ago , just gave my PP , photocopies and visa fee (and nothing else) and received the TV .

Applied again yesterday for a TV at Savanahkhet , just asked to show a bank statement (documents) , which I did .

Report back later with the outcome

Recieved , no problem
