Featured Replies

Following a raid on a nightclub yesterday in Preah Sihanouk province, provincial police arrested 53 foreign and Cambodian suspects and seized 29 small bags and vials of drugs ready for distribution. Sun Sophat, provincial deputy police chief, said that police worked with a provincial court prosecutor to carry out the raid. Mr Sophat said that police raided Skyline nightclub in Sihanoukville’s Buon Commune at about 1am yesterday.

He added that during the operation, police detained 53 suspects, including 24 Cambodians, and 29 foreign nationals from China, Indonesia and South Korea. Police also seized various drugs already packaged and ready to be distributed in the nightclub. “Fifty-three suspects are being questioned in order to apprehend who’s behind all this, including the owner of the nightclub,” he said. “We will prepare the court documents for them and schedule a hearing.”

Thank god there are no lawbreakers from good old back home eh?

Cambodia is still a lawless country , like Thailand used to be 30 years ago .

I hope so, as I may be moving there shortly. The expats in Thailand are hoping to turn it into an ersatz version of Eastbourne. I don't need to travel half away around the world to get to Eastbourne. I used to live in Brighton, it's just down the road.
