The National Council for Peace and Order and the Election Commission must sit down together to resolve two crucial political issues – unlocking of political restrictions and primary election,  Mr Suriyasai Katasila, director of the College of Social Innovations, Rangsit University, suggested today.

He pointed out that the two issues are co-related and should be resolved at the same time otherwise there would be problems.

“If the NCPO eases political restrictions, but is not clear about the modality of primary election, a new problem will emerge or a new issue will be created which may have impact on the election roadmap or create unrest during the election,” said the veteran political observer.

modality of primary election

Huh?

Defined as a particular mode in which something exists or is experienced or expressed. Oxford Dictionary, etc.

As Thailand has never had government mandated political party primaries, modality doesn't exist. Same applies to its new MMA electoral system.

Hope he has a back up job.

The base ideal of a free and open elective process and ongoing selective political suppression seems to be a bit contradicting, does it not?

Thainess.

I have about 25 Thai votes that want to take advantage of the bonuses on offer if they swing their vote; where do I get the form?

Any local police box, as acting representatives for the beloved Election Commission.

Applications for the newly opened position of Director of the College of Social Innovations, Rangsit University should be addressed personally to the Prime Minister's Department for consideration.

Damn usurping troublemakers

The junta is probably asking themselves how much effort they want to put into this charade since they already know the results of this election.
