Video: Minivan driver caught chatting on his phone on way to Chonburi

A Thai man posted a video sent by his younger sister that showed a minivan driver continually taking his eyes off the road.

 

He was driving from Bangkok to Chonburi and the woman was scared stiff. 

 

The driver continually puts his head down then up as he stares at his phone in his lap.

 

He appeared to be chatting on the phone, reported Thai Rath. 

 

The brother posting to Red Skull said it was terribly dangerous: he should stay at home if he wants to chat. 

 

This was another minivan accident waiting to happen, he said.

What's the problem the van was an Automatic,they drive themselves.

Got so bad when I was working in Canada last year that prior to entering a taxi I'd say "no phone play", and if they balked, I walked. Definitely a world wide malady.

The girl making this video was right next to him. Why did SHE not tell him/ Probably scared he would stop and throw her off as the one last week.

They all do it !

I am not convinced it was phone chatting.  Looked to me if he kept checking to see if the Viagra was kicking in yet. ?

Seems to be looking at his junior all the time.

The brother obviously never leave his home. 99,9% of drivers, no matter what they drive, will answere if their phone rings even mc riders with an umbrella in one hand.

What is so new here? Happens almost everyday. Probably that surprised poster never used a van before or didn't sit near the driver.
