SABloke
Would I be able to be out of the country during the 30 day consideration period for an extension of stay based on marriage? Eg: Current extension of stay (work) ends 31st October - Apply for extension (marriage) at Chaengwattana 28 September - Leave country 29th September and return 30th October - Get new extension 31st October. elviajero
Yes. When you apply for the extension you can buy a re-entry permit. You’ll need to return before the report back date.

Normally home visits are only done for the first extension so in your case there may not be one. Inform them of you intentions after you get the under consideration stamp.

They normally do any home visits within a couple of days of the application. As long as you tell them the dates you’re going to be abroad it shouldn’t be a problem.
