Jonathan Fairfield Posted September 10, 2018 Share Posted September 10, 2018 Thai woman plays dead to avoid being raped A Thai woman has revealed how she pretended to be dead in order to avoid being raped by a man who broke into her home in Sisaket At 3am on Saturday, police in Kantharalak District received a report of a robbery and attempted rape. The woman, identified as Ms Naree, told officers how she was at home alone asleep when she heard someone forcing the front door open. The intruder then ran into the woman’s bedroom where he pinned her down, covered her mouth and began trying to undress her. As she began to fight back, the man punched the woman in the stomach three times. It was then that realised she wasn’t strong enough to fight offer her attacker so instead she pretended dead. The ruse worked and the intruder jumped up off the woman and fled the house. The woman then raised the alarm with her neighbours who took her to the police station. Police say they are checking CCTV footage in a bid to try and identify the man, who they believe is from the local area.
